I would like to welcome you to the official website for the Queens Borough President’s Office. I hope you find this site to be a useful “one-stop shop” where you can find a wealth of information about the services available from my office and about my work on behalf of the 2.3 million people of Queens.
This easy to navigate site offers the opportunity to contact my office to share your concerns with the delivery of city services on the “Constituent Service” tab. It offers guidance on the City’s budget process and offers a link on the “Budget” tab which allows groups to apply to my office for expense and capital funding. It has information about our borough’s Community Boards, which play an important advisory role in land use, budget and service delivery matters. To locate your Community Board or obtain details on how to apply click on the “Community Board” tab. And it offers information on the land use process and public hearing schedule. The calendar can be found in the “Land Use” tab.
In addition, this website has information about the many fun and exciting events that take place in Queens every day. I am very proud to represent a borough which has so many amazing cultural organizations, programs and events. Our borough is the most diverse county in America, with residents who come from more than 120 countries1 and speak more than 135 languages2. We call Queens “The World’s Borough” because our diversity is one of our greatest assets and that allows us to offer a wealth of different attractions and activities that allow both residents and visitors alike to experience the flavor of so many different cultures. That’s why I tell visitors from out-of-town that they need to visit Queens to truly experience New York City.
I hope you find this website to be useful and informative. As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. You can reach my office at (718) 286-3000 or email me at [email protected]. I always look forward to hearing from you.
