Phoenix (Lycia)

Phoenix or Phoinix (Ancient Greek: Φοῖνιξ) was a port town of ancient Lycia, near the mountain of the same name.[1]

Its site is now occupied by the town of Finike in Asiatic Turkey.[1][2] Off of Phoenix was fought the Battle of Phoenix, a naval battle between the Arabs and Byzantine Empire in 654.
