Athanasius II of Constantinople
|Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople|
|Church||Church of Constantinople|
|In office||1451 – 1453|
|Predecessor||Gregory III of Constantinople|
|Died||29 May 1453|
Athanasius II (? – 29 May 1453) was the last Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople before the Fall of Constantinople. He supposedly served from 1450 to 1453. The only document about his existence is "Acts of the council in Hagia Sophia", that is considered to be a fake because of anachronisms in the text.
