MLA Summit for the Future of Doctoral Education
Discover the future of your PhD program. At the MLA Summit for the Future of Doctoral Education, three-person institutional teams will collaborate with MLA staff members and experts in graduate curricula and careers to redefine doctoral education in the humanities. Teams will develop tools and strategies to reinvigorate their programs and create real change. We’ll cover curricular and cocurricular initiatives, departmental culture change, mentorship and advising, and more.
When: 22–24 October 2020
Where: Omni New Haven and Yale University, New Haven, CT
Once you’ve registered, please make room reservations for your team as early as possible but no later than 14 August. MLA Summit participants are eligible for the special rate of $219/night, excluding taxes and fees. To book your hotel, visit the dedicated reservation site for the summit.
Who Should Attend
Teams must include one department leader (e.g., chair or director of graduate studies) and one graduate student; the third team member can be
another faculty member engaged or interested in program change

$1,600 per team (MAPS/ADE/ADFL members)
$2,000 per team (MAPS/ADE/ADFL nonmembers)
