Rob 'Voltage' Cross is a 28-year-old darts player from Hastings, East Sussex who turned professional at the start of 2017, having won a tour card by finishing top of the PDC Challenger Tour Order of Merit in 2016.

In his first year on the PDC Pro Tour, Cross was in outstanding form as he won the William Hill World Darts Championship, four Players Championship events, reached the final of the Unibet European Championship, the semi-finals of the Mr Green Sport Players Championship Finals, the quarter-finals of the bwin Grand Slam of Darts, the quarter-finals of the Ladbrokes World Series of Darts Finals, the fifth round of the Coral UK Open Finals, the second round of the BetVictor World Matchplay as well as reaching two Euro Tour finals.

These excellent results lifted Cross to number three in the PDC Order of Merit in less than twelve months.

In 2018 Cross reached the last sixteen in the William Hill World Darts Championship, won the Brisbane Darts Masters, a fifth Players Championship title, was runner-up in the William Hill US Darts Masters and the Shanghai Darts Masters, a semi-finalist in the Unibet Premier League and made the quarter-finals of the Unibet Masters, the Coral UK Open Finals and the Unibet European Championship as well as the second round of the BetVictor World Matchplay and bwin Grand Slam of Darts. Cross also made the quarter-finals of the Betway World Cup Of Darts as he represented England for the first time, alongside Dave Chisnall.

On Monday 26th November 2018 Cross replaced Peter Wright at number two in the PDC Order of Merit.

So far in 2019 Cross was a finalist in the Ladbrokes UK Open and the European Darts Open as well as a semi-finalist in a Players Championship event.

The former electrician has beaten every player he has faced in the current top 55 of the PDC Order of Merit*.
