BFI Reuben Library

In our library at BFI Southbank you can access a huge collection of books, journals and digitised material about the world of film, television and the moving image.

The last day the library will be open before the Christmas and New Year holiday will be Friday 21 December (normal hours). The library will reopen on Wednesday 2 January (normal hours).

The library collection spans the history of cinema. Our priority is comprehensive coverage of the moving image in Britain, but the collection is international in scope.

  • Search our collections for your choice of books, journals and other library materials.
  • Complete an advance request form for access to items which aren’t available in the Edwin Fox Foundation Reading Room.
  • For general enquires and planning your research, please get in touch using our contact form.
