History of the site

The area currently occupied by Anglia Square was the centre of a Saxon fortified settlement. The junction of Calvert Street and Botolph Street lay at its heart

The present Anglia Square

In the 1960s Anglia Square was built with a mix of shops and offices, parking and a cinema.

HMSO staff were relocated from London to Sovereign House.

Much of the office space has been vacant since 1999.

  • Completion/opening date: Late 2012
