I'm surprised no one has said something like - 'wait till AC/DC's Black Ice is released - it will outsell Metallica in Australia big time.'

And it probably will.

In other thoughts: Death Magnetic is a great fucking record - bummer about the poor sound quality.

There is a thread over at the Metallica forums calling for an official response about the sound issue.

The average Metallica fan has the same EXACT mentality as a pathetic broken down hooker. Your pimp (metallica) can insult you, crap all over you, sell you out for pennies, and you will still keep coming back for more. You will even defend your pimp (metallica) to the death it you have to.

Now go out and turn some tricks so you can buy a DVD, t-shirt, poster, i pod cover, etc for you pimp. Larz needs a set of solid golt spinnas fo' his leer jet.

Here is the link if you want to DOWNLOAD. Don't tell Larz though, or else he'll know out your golt toof and pull out your hair weave.

metallica's paying blabbermouth alot this year.
***********************************************

Not really...MetallicA is signed to Warner Bros. Directly. Warner Brothers is the parent company to RoadrunneR records, so Warner Bros, is just using its subsidary to dispense news for a major artist on the Warner Bros. Records label roster.

I have just been informed by an official source that Metallica has officially changed their slogan from "Metal up YOUR ass" to "Metal up MY ass".

So don't forget, when you pay $175.00 to get into the next Metallica show, you will now be required to pay the attendent an additional $5 for every time you chant "woo who dude" Like duhh..."Metal up MY ass!" yea, were outlaws!

A $25 fine will be imposed for anyone using the old slogan.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Yeah MetallicA's old label Elektra was just a subsidary of Warner Brothers and folded a couple of years ago, and will only be used for reissuses and box-sets, ala Rhino records; And RoadrunneR was bought by Warner Brothers back in 2007. So as the promotional/ publicist person for Q-Prime or Warner Bros, why not use this built in mechanism already in place ??

That says a lot.

Fight clips with clips
Ending is near
Fight clips with clips
Bursting with clips!

We all hear clips

DM is like a fuse, short and clipping fast
Armageddon is here, like I said: Clipping fast

Fight clips with clips

Bursting with clips

We all hear clips

Soon to fill our ears the hot sounds of clips
The fans are laughing, at this clipping mess!

I took a little time to research a little on this after a number of started to bitch about the loudness of DM. Yes, DM is quite possibly the loudest cd yet. But why would they agree to do it? Don't they know that the sound quality when played on high quality equipment in an otherwise quiet area suffers? Well listen here. One point brought up regularly on the subject is that a louder mix sounds much better in a loud environment such as a car or a large gathering. It kind of got me to thinking about when and how I started and continernued to listen to Metallica. Getting together with a bunch of people and partying my ass off! Metallica is music ment to be enjoyed at fraternaty parties, or tailgating or at the barracks. It's social music. Metallica is not that band that you listen to by yourself through your home theater system on high end headphones. That's Tool. Or Dream Theater. Or even Iced Earth. Those three bands don't mix psychotically loud and they shouldn't. For the last week and half I have been enjoying DM every day. But not in an environment where the clipping would even be an issue. DM, for you kiddies, is best served with about 8 or 10 of your friends, some cheap beer that you overpaid someones big brother to buy for you and a bunch of chicks. It's party music. Just like the Stones, Motley Crue, Van Halen and AC/DC. Be happy that a SF thrash band crossed over into that realm and brought some really good genre bands with them. Remember, Metallica is the metal band that you can play and the chicks won't leave. Testament, Iced Earth and all the assorted extreme bands will have you pulling your pud.

I'd be inclined to agree with you if not for one thing: The GH3 version has parts on the album that come through clearer and 100 percent better. Its highly listenable compared to the retail release. You can hear the bass, the orchestral parts, AND it sounds good in a car- how about that?

I just think even if one can't hear the clipping they can agree the shit sounds muddy as hell...

I'm probably going to quit blabbermouth in protest of this since they're corporate whores nowadays (owned by Universal who owns Roadrunner and Universal is Metallicas label so they're not printing new that FUCKING ROLLING STONE is printing on the sound!)

Thats not journalistic integrity BORI!

Despite all the haters and negative publicity about the production (which I agree, could be better), Metallica still dominate charts all over the world. Good to see metal alive & well with both Metallica & Slipknot reaching no.1 in OZ.

DM is a definite grower...takes a while to get used to the songs and changes but sticks in your head like a bitch.

Now hurry up and tour down under!
