SLAYER is streaming "Christ Illusion" in its entirety on the band's official MySpace page.
"Christ Illusion" is SLAYER's first new studio album since 2001, and the first recorded by the band's original line-up â Kerry King (guitar), Tom Araya (bass, vocals), Jeff Hanneman (guitars), Dave Lombardo (drums) â since 1990's "Seasons In The Abyss". "Christ Illusion" was produced by Josh Abraham and executive-produced by Rick Rubin. Somewhere at this very moment, the rudest, greediest, cheesiest, most arrogant cock in the music business, Greed Simmons, is stealing this idea and concocting the Official KI$$ Collectible Bus Bench and Matching Phone Booth and Electrical Transformer Box Cover Set.
Each set will retail for a bargain-basement $150,000. There will be a limited run on the sets, available for pre-order next week to brain-dead tools with too much money.

Seems trendy to bash Slayer these days.
Regardless, they still are and always will be one of the most important and influential heavy bands of all time.
Every album they have done is good. Some better than others of course. There were Slayer bashers when the old shit was being released just like today....but through it all, they are still around and doing what they do best.

It's the Christian/Republican stronghold of southern California...they knew what was going to happen to those benches! They paid a couple grand for the bench advertising and are getting a priceless amount from them being removed! I also like how the photo shows the notorious anti-homeless/anti-skateboarder benches that abound in the area...Nazi fucks!!!

it's about the music. Slayer influnced tons of metal bands. Kerry's beliefs (i dont agree with them) are just that. HIS BELIFES. As I have mine. But debating esoteric points of view defeats the whole purpose of this site. To be updated on the latest METAL music news. Benches? fine, they removed them. WHO FUCKING CARES???? I wanna know what the MUSIC is doing.

So the marketing campaign worked and because of that decided to pull them down?

It's just past midnight in the Central time zone....did any of you Slayer nerds go out to your local CD store to buy the new CD?
(No offense, I'd probably do it, too, if I were 10 years younger and a huge Slayer fan)
Is it worth my money? If not, should I buy "Seasons..."?

Why should Slayer stop doing what made them big? They just write about evil, religion and stuf like that. that's what they are and always have been. Changing that is not a good idea, I believe, Metallica also changed during the years and look what happened. This is just what Slayer is about, if you don't like it go listen to Disturbed

i think it's time for slayer to stop that crap. in case they don't notice "the shock is over" satanic images or propaganda ain't shocking anymore since...well...EVERY FUCKING BAND outh there is "satanic" or "anty-system" (I mean, of course, anti-christian).
but who cares??????'
i think that even if they start singing about dolphins and sea food i'd buy their albums. as long as the great dave lombardo is behind the drums of course
