SLAYER, MARILYN MANSON, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE Confirmed For U.K.'s DOWNLOAD Festival - Feb. 13, 2007 SLAYER, MARILYN MANSON, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, WOLFMOTHER and BRING ME THE HORIZON have been confirmed for the Download festival, set to take place June 8-10 at Donington Park, Leicestershire, England. Other acts that are scheduled to appear at this year's event include headliners IRON MAIDEN (June 10), LINKIN PARK (June 9) and MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE (June 8).

The Download festival is a three-day rock/metal/punk festival held annually at the spiritual home of rock music in England — Donington Park, which hosted the Monsters of Rock festivals between 1980 and 1996, and 2002's Ozzfest. It takes place in early summer, and is owned and managed by Live Nation, a company owned by Clear Channel Communications.

Download festival 2006 — which featured headliners TOOL, METALLICA and GUNS N' ROSES — was said to be a huge success, with 75,000 visitors each day.

Yes!!! KSE really sucks. I really can't see what the buzz is about.

I saw them live and walked out early because Adam D was being a complete idiot. I really felt sorry for the other band members.

If you mean to tell me that lamb of god and killswitch sound the same how do you fucking listen to music because it is quite obvious that you cannot hear. Killswitch has howards pussy vocals singing about love every chorus something that you will not find in a lamb of god song. Face it lamb of god owns and there is nothing you basement dwellers can do about it.

I'm suprised nobody has said anything about the fact that one of the gayest bands on earth is going to play Download... My Chemical Romance should be run over by tanks... repeatedly... might as well throw Stinkin Park in there as well...

"it is nice having a sensible thread early in the night before most of the americans get on line"

Hahahaha!

Remember, the americans saved all our european asses more than 60 years ago. So, we all still owe them something. And that's the reason why their shitty current "metal" bands, I mean the ones post Bay Area thrash and Florida death metal, with a couple of rare exceptions like Nevermore, are allowed to pollute the airwaves over here in Europe.

I Can't think of a band thats worthy of going on after SLAYER regardless of how many records others may have sold i love IRON MAIDEN but they cant go on after SLAYER - its just wrong

Obviously you're not as clever as I thought - or my german sarcasm doesn't translate well into english.

Nevertheless, it wasn't "Russia", it was the Soviet Union.

And what about some punctuation in your posts?

Canada did more to save Europe during WWII than the USA and yet we don't rub it in there faces and proclaim ourselves the best country in the world. Sorry about Celine Dion, though.
